Q: The price seems high--why is that?

In a word, scarcity. There are only a few hundred left, and they're not being made any more. Our mugs were fired in Newell, West Virginia, on the south bank of the Ohio River, by our U.S. manufacturer, Homer Laughlin China Company. The company was founded in 1871, and in 2020, the company restructured to focus on making Fiesta tableware. For obvious reasons, this isn't a product that should be made overseas. We've sold almost all of the Homer Laughlin mugs, and when they're gone...they're gone.

Q: What is your shipping policy?

We offset the cost of shipping retail mugs sold via our website with a shipping charge of $5 per order up to 3 mugs. We offer free shipping for orders of 4 or more mugs. We ship unit orders for Marine Corps Birthday Ball souvenirs in cartons of one dozen mugs each. For east coast units ordering Marine Corps Birthday Ball souvenirs, shipping is 50 cents per mug. That’s a deal: an 18-pound carton for $6. For units west of North Carolina ordering Marine Corps Birthday Ball souvenirs, shipping is $18 per carton–still a good deal. We ship to all Army Post Office, Diplomatic Post Office, and Fleet Post Office addresses solely via U.S. Postal Service Priority Mail®. Shipping is $18 per carton of one dozen mugs.

Q: Your shopping cart says ‘Allow 2-3 weeks for shipping.’ Why so long?

Typically your mugs arrive in less than a week, but sometimes packing an order can be slowed by holidays when the order fulfillment center is closed or by bad weather. Shipping times also vary. We ship via U.S. Postal Service Priority Mail®, which means that once the package arrives at a postal facility, the usual delivery times are two to three days. But that too can vary. Since we can’t control those factors, we’re not promising a fast delivery...but as people note on our Facebook page, the mugs often arrive in much less than two weeks.

Q: What is your Return Policy?

We allow returns within 30 days of receipt of your order. You are responsible for return postage unless the item was sent in error or the item was damaged/defective. Please email us through the “Contact” link if you need more information.
